I've worked in so many different mental health positions over the years, and formally supervised many mental health clinicians along the way. That's given me a front row seat to what actually helps people grow, and what doesn't. I've helped clinicians set real boundaries and stick to them, so the work stops following them home. I've helped people navigate years of unhelpful supervision when they didn't know what to do next. I've mentored many clinicians into building their own private practices, and helped people rebuild their sense of self-worth and confidence along the way.

For years, I did all of this unofficially. People found their way to me, again and again, for support, for direction, for someone to help them believe in themselves again. It became clear that what I was offering informally was something people needed on purpose.

That's why I built Second Wave Coaching.

This is life coaching. It's a melting pot of everything I've learned mentoring clinicians and business owners for years, all of it now available in one place, on purpose, for you.

I also haven't forgotten who I was before all of this. I wrote a poetry collection, Second Wave, Crashing, back in 2017, and it's still part of everything I do, including the name of my practice. Whimsy isn't fluff to me. It's the first thing burnout takes, and it's exactly what I help you find your way back to.

You can be fierce and efficient and still be soft. Grounded and still a little magic. That's the coaching I offer, and it's the way I try to live.

The Field Work

Ten-plus years in the field. Hundreds of clinicians trained. One clear mission.

I've spent over a decade in mental health, from crisis stabilization, residential treatment with teens in foster care, building and running a group practice, and training and supervising over 500 clinicians and helping professionals.

Second Wave Coaching is where it all comes together — the years of experience, the passion that's been there from the very beginning, and the deep belief that mentorship and coaching are how we plant seeds of change for the next generation. It's a space for clinicians, grad students, and helpers to grow, stretch, and step more fully into the work they're meant to do, with support that feels both grounded and inspiring.
